Introduction

The Petrie State School 140 Year Anniversary, 2014

[THIS PROJECT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS]

THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AS WE CONTINUE TO RESEARCH AND UPDATE OUR MUSEUM

The Petrie Sate School History project aims to bring to our understanding this remarkable past.

This project looks at the history of the land the current school is situated upon from the pre-colonial period, through European settlement, the origin of the school’s architecture and culture up to our present day traditions in a technologically charged learning environment.

The Petrie SS History Project is an evolving collaborative feature of the Anniversary Celebration, but also will provide a valuable local history resource for generations of past students and present pupils. It is also a resource for local and family history enthusiasts who are seeking their roots in the North Pine (Petrie) region.

The Parents and Citizens Association truly wish you to have a rich and entertaining experience learning of our 140 years of education in the Moreton Bay district.
