The “Our History” menu explores the structural and social history of the school from it’s conception, moving forward and into the 1950’s.
These topics attempt to give an understanding of how life in Petrie was in the late 1800’s and why and how the school became the colourful institution it is today.
From the inception of the idea of planning for the North Pine Provisional School (No. 183 a & b), through two world wars, and it’s transition to become North Pine State School.
The school was formally named Petrie State School on 21st May 1956.
